Good Food Launches New SME Awards

Good Food, the UK’s number one food media brand, has launched the inaugural Good Food SME Awards celebrating the small and medium-sized businesses, whose innovation, creativity and commitment are making an impact in the food, drink and health industry.

The Good Food SME Awards want to hear from the best producers, innovators and creators in the industry. There are 9 categories to enter recognising the best Disruptors, Founders, Innovators, Storytellers, Health producers, Family-Run businesses, Creatives and those businesses making a positive impact on the world. Plus two judges’ choice awards, including the overall winner who wins £25k of promotional media spend on Good Food platforms, including print, podcasts and digital, reaching 16m food lovers a month. The prize also includes a stand at one of the UK’s biggest Christmas food events, the Good Food Show Winter at Birmingham’s NEC, worth up to £15,000.

Simon Carrington, Commercial Director at Good Food, says: “For over 35 years, Good Food has been dedicated to finding the best brands for our passionate, food-loving audience. Small to medium business are the lifeblood our vibrant food industry, producing, distributing and promoting fantastic products which we want to shine a spotlight on and celebrate.”

All entries will be judged by an expert panel, including Mex Ibrahim co-founder of Women in the Food Industry; Good Food’s Head of Brand Trust, Lulu Grimes; business growth expert, Saskia Roberts; Immediate’s Food Portfolio Health Editor, Emma Hartfield; Immediate’s Chief Commercial Officer, Christina Hawley; Good Food’s Head of Food, Cassie Best; Dan Hutson, MD of Nutracheck; and Good Food’s Senior Food Editor Barney Desmazery.

Entries are open now and close 23:59 15 March 2026. The  Good Food SME Awards are open to SMEs (defined as a business which, on the first day of the financial year, employs fewer than 250 people) who produce and sell consumable food and health products to retail in the UK and are registered as a company in the UK.

There is an Early bird pricing of £149 + VAT if you enter by 23:59 on 27 February 2026, the entry fee after this date will be £249 + VAT. If you enter 3 or more categories within the same transaction, you will also receive a 30% discount on the 4th entry onwards!
