Independent British Author Reaches No.1 on Amazon & Donates Profits to Charity

Independent British author and entrepreneur Charlie Panayi has reached No.1 on Amazon after his independently published book, Excuses Will Kill You: Break The Cycle. Own Your Choices. Transform Your Life, topped Amazon’s Behaviour and Compulsive Behavior bestseller charts. The book also became a No.1 Hot New Release in both categories, reflecting strong early demand for its practical message of personal accountability, ownership and lasting change.

Beyond its commercial success, the project was created with a wider purpose. Every penny of profit from the book is being donated to charity, meaning each purchase contributes to worthwhile causes while encouraging readers to invest in their own personal growth.

In an increasingly crowded personal development market, Excuses Will Kill You takes a refreshingly straightforward approach. Rather than promising overnight transformation, it argues that meaningful change comes from accepting responsibility for the choices we make every day and taking consistent action over time.
Drawing on more than two decades of entrepreneurial and business experience, Panayi combines practical observations with real-world lessons to help readers replace limiting habits with purposeful action. Written in an accessible style, the book is intended for anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed or ready to create lasting change.

“People often believe their lives change when their circumstances change,” said Charlie Panayi. “My experience has been the opposite. Real change begins when people accept responsibility for the decisions they can control.
That is the message behind this book. It is not about blame, it is about recognising that ownership creates opportunity.”

The book has also attracted international attention through coverage across a range of US and international news platforms, reflecting growing interest in its message of accountability and personal responsibility. “I never set out to become an author, and I certainly do not profess to be one,” Panayi added. “I wrote this book because I believed the message mattered. If it helps one person stop making excuses, take ownership of their life and realise they have more control than they thought, then it has done exactly what I hoped it would do. Everything beyond that, including reaching No.1 on Amazon, is a bonus. The fact that every penny of profit goes to charity makes the journey even more meaningful.”

The book is available worldwide through Amazon Kindle.
