RED Sharing Business Capacity to Offer Help to NHS Heroes

Posted By sme-admin on April 30, 2020 Community & Charity, Features

RED Business Support, originally RED Virtual Office, is a long established family business, providing outsourced Business Support to a wide range of companies, large and small.

RED is still operational during this coronavirus lockdown period, though with hugely reduced
volumes of work as many of our clients have suspended operations for the duration.  We feel for them, their staff and their loved ones when, even with the government’s CJRS providing cover for most of their salaries, there is still hardship to be endured and potential long-term damage to the business.

RED’s capacity for support means we always need to have the resource in place to cope with the peaks that invariably come, especially with businesses providing, for instance, PPE supplies. The result is we are over-staffed for most of the time and, while we are endeavouring to find ways to bring in new business, current times are not helpful.

We have decided that we can utilise this spare capacity and give something back to our communities by offering Free Telephone Answering and Reception Service to our front-line workers in the NHS and their partners, who may be running a small business.  Lockdown, isolation, home teaching and long shifts on duty are not conducive to running a business as well.

RED will provide the business with a unique virtual number to divert their telephone enquiries to and answer calls in their company name. Our PAs can answer queries, take orders, process payments and manage diaries or mailboxes. The business can be open and functioning even when the office is closed. If the business employs home workers, callers can be routed through to them just like a standard switchboard function.

Rainbow Here to help

In fact RED anticipates a post-COVID period where businesses will reassess their need to have a large office-based staff. It’s recognised that remote working is good for the staff, it reduces the stresses and costs of travel to and from the office and the potential is there for businesses to reduce their office footprint and thereby, their rent and rates overhead.

There will be many changes to commerce and to society following the changes we’ve had to implement to protect ourselves. Many will be for the good of all of us and we need to be ready to grasp those and change and adapt to our new circumstances. RED plans to be part of that future however it may pan out for us. We hope you and your business will come out the other end with renewed vigour and plans to adapt as well.

For now, please help us get the message out. Tell people you know who work in the NHS, tell their partners, tell their families. The following post appears across our social media, please share it to bring it to the attention of those NHS hero workers and partners its aimed at. We’d happily be swamped with enquiries. We have plenty of colleagues running similar businesses to us, good people and we’d love to need to persuade them to join this initiative.

At RED, we’d like to give something back to our communities.

We’re offering free Business Support to NHS workers and their partners, during these difficult times.

To avail of this offer please simply get in touch to give us your details including your NHS Registration number, either via PM or on our contact page on our website:
