Olympian Fatima Whitbread MBE to Inspire Entrepreneurs as Keynote Speaker at Big Business Breakfast

Award-winning Olympian javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread MBE will be the keynote speaker at the Big Business Breakfast, sponsored by Business West. This event is part of the Great British Expo’s South West Expo, taking place at the Steam Museum in Swindon on July 17, 2024. The breakfast event is from 8:30 am to 9:45 am.

Fatima, who was awarded the 2023 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award for outstanding Award winning Olympian Javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread MBEachievement in the face of adversity, will share her inspiring story of resilience at the Big Business Breakfast. She will recount her journey from being abandoned as a baby and spending her youth in a children’s home to becoming an award-winning Olympian. Over 150 entrepreneurs and business figures will attend the event to hear Fatima’s powerful anecdotes.

In addition, she will discuss her campaign to reform the UK care system for vulnerable children. Fatima recently completed an expedition to Mount Everest Base Camp in May and plans to hold a national summit in 2025 to unite people and organisations working in children’s services.

The South West Expo’s Big Business Breakfast, organised by The Great British Expos, offers a valuable opportunity to grow your business by making valuable connections across the region.
