An events business and a speakers’ platform have teamed up to bring added value to corporate events at venues across the UK.

Glasgow-based Glasgow-based Eventsplus, which supports independent venues to promote and develop their corporate bookings, is collaborating with Scott Media Speakers, which supports independent venues to promote and develop their corporate bookings, is collaborating with Scott Media Speakers, part of the PR company Scott Media.

Under the arrangement, Glasgow-based Eventsplus will promote the speakers alongside its portfolio of venues and clients allowing them to book high quality speakers for their own clients.

“Eventsplus was founded to support independent venues with character and charm, all across the UK,” said Barry Clark, Managing Director of Eventsplus.

“In launching our Eventsplus Trusted Partner programme, we are extending our venue representation services to include independent suppliers into the events sector. It is a natural and exciting extension of our services. Our Trusted Partner programme has received a high level of interest, and we are delighted to welcome the high quality portfolio of Scott Media Speakers.”

Fiona Scott, Managing Director of Wiltshire-based Scott Media, said she was excited to be working with Eventsplus, because of the opportunities it would offer her speakers.

“We have really excellent speakers on our young speaking platform and frankly we can access hundreds of speakers if we need to and we are always looking for new opportunities for them to showcase their talents,” she said.

“Through this collaboration, we will be able to work with Barry and his team to offer a real value-add for their clients too. Venues and agencies working for corporate clients and larger businesses can often struggle to know where to start to find good speakers.”

Eventsplus represents independent venues, hotels and conference centres across the country, helping to promote them to events management professionals and corporate event booking agents.

The collaboration with Scott Media Speakers gives Eventsplus an additional attraction to offer the booking agency market.

Fiona added: “It’s a great development for Scott Media Speakers, which we only launched in March 2024, and a fantastic way for two like-minded businesses to help one another.”
