Pioneering Dog Food Range to Tackle Festive Greed Taking On The Growing Obesity Epidemic Among UK Dogs

As a long-standing vet and accomplished canine nutritionist who advises countless pet producers about the nutritional make-up of their mass-market dog foods, Dr Veneta is only too aware how the festive season can unintentionally wreak havoc on a dog’s delicate stomach on account of unwise titbits, excessive under the table gifting and shameless carpet hoovering.

Over the years Veneta’s award-winning Kent practice has been littered with tales of overweight dogs in dangerously poor health on account of poor diet choices, excessive treat provision OR a worrying lack of awareness amongst uneducated dog owners with regards what their pet’s ideal weight should be.

Shocking Statistic – 65% of all UK dogs are deemed either needlessly overweight or morbidly obese

Whilst the long-standing trend of ‘pet humanisation’ has certainly played a key role in too many        four-legged friends eating over-processed, sugar & salt riddled treats, a more worrying big trend is the growing legions of mass-market kibbles made with low-grade meats, nutritionally bereft fillers and various artificial nasties, whose heat-based production means already nutritionally arid meals are weakened even further.

This unfortunate truth was a key driver as to why Veneta chose this Autumn to add a WELLNESS variant to her 4-strong portfolio of freeze-dried feasts for discerning dogs.  STAY WELL offers a minimum of 80% meat (CHICKEN & RABBIT) and a generous smattering of beneficial fruit (apple and pumpkin).

The original 4-strong Dr Veneta range launched back in the Summer of 2024 was tasked with tackling the ‘too often overlooked’ fact that with today’s dogs now living longer than ever, it’s increasingly important that modern dog foods provide access to minimally processed meats, herbs, fruits and botanicals in easy-to-use, freeze-dried pellets.

Of course, it’s fair to suggest that other freeze-dried propositions exist in both the UK and North America, however what allows Dr Veneta’s to steal a march over its ‘Big Business’ peers is the presence of a revolutionary fermented yeast that is integral to fuelling your dog’s biome where 84% of your pet’s all-important immune system resides.

‘When you’ve had an award-winning veterinary practice as long as I have,’ concludes Veneta, ‘it becomes disheartening to see week after week the numbers of clinically obese dogs arriving at our surgery.  Whether we’re talking overfed and under exercised big dogs OR needlessly finicky smaller dogs who have somehow convinced their unwitting human owners that they can only eat unduly rich or calorific human food, the fact remains that British dogs need urgent help!’

STAY WELL – IS AVAILABLE NOW IN THE BUILD-UP TO CHRISTMAS 2024
