Gold Buying Company Expands Into Cornwall

Posted By Greg Robinson on June 4, 2025 News

Gold Traders UK Ltd, a leading precious metals buyer headquartered in Wiltshire, has opened its newest branch in Bodmin, Cornwall.

Located at 3 Fore Street, in the historic former HSBC building, Gold Traders Bodmin welcomes customers from Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

“We are proud to bring our trusted precious metal buying service to Cornwall,” said Jon White, Gold Traders’ founder.

“Gold Traders Bodmin reflects our ongoing commitment to providing accessible, face-to-face consultations for those looking to sell their unwanted jewellery, silverware, coins and more for a fair and ethical price.”

Established in Wiltshire in 2008, Gold Traders UK Ltd. has built a reputation for offering competitive rates on gold, silver, platinum, and palladium and for being committed to transparency and customer service.

The company, which is headquartered in Royal Wootton Bassett, was the first precious metals dealer in the UK to receive Trading Standards accreditation through the national Buy With Confidence scheme, underscoring its dedication to fair trading practices.

The new Bodmin branch will be staffed by Steve and Karen Watts, a husband-and-wife team who moved to the area from Wiltshire a year ago and have led the redevelopment of the dilapidated building in the centre of town.

“Whether you’re clearing out an old jewellery box or looking to cash in on gold coins, we’re here to offer honest advice and fair value,” Steve said.

Councillor Mike Barbery (Deputy Mayor of Bodmin) and Councillor Andy Coppin officially opened the new branch on Monday, 2nd June. A ‘Meet the Team’ event allowed local residents to engage with the staff and learn about the services offered while enjoying tea and cake.

Gold Traders Bodmin welcomes walk-in sales of unwanted gold, silver, jewellery and coins at the business’s secure counter, with owners of extensive collections recommended to call ahead.

Customers also have the opportunity to consign their valuables for sale by auction with RWB Auctions, a Wiltshire-based saleroom also founded by Jon White, with antiques and collectables valuations offered by appointment.
