Digital Advertising and Marketing Platform BlocSquared Launches to Support UK SMEs and Entrepreneurs

Shimron Equiano - BlocsquaredAfter losing his mother to cancer in 2018 and his brother a year later to the same disease, in 2020 Shimron Equiano’s recruitment business was hampered by the pandemic. It was in these dark moments that he reflected on his life, purpose and legacy for the first time in 10 years, and the vision for BlocSquared was born.

The brainchild of Shimron Equiano, BlocSquared is a new marketing and advertising platform offering ‘digital real estate’, giving side-hustlers a new place to call home and established businesses a valuable tool in their marketing armoury.

BlocSquared aims to provide 1% of the UK’s SME community with a digital advertising and collaborative marketing experience unrivalled by anything else on the market. It launches with 55,000 Blocs for sale in the UK, against a backdrop of over five million businesses.

Ownership of a Bloc costs £199 +VAT for 12 months and gives subscribers access to the ‘Business Hub’, ‘Stardust Webinars’ and ‘Mini-Movie’ lucky draws. BlocSquared wants to do away with the low ROI (Return on Investment) of paid advertising that is crippling SMEs across the UK. A Bloc owner will be part of an exclusive online community with an expert team providing a steady stream of visitors.

With a simple ‘point and click’ registration process that takes minutes to set up, once a Bloc is purchased it can be pointed to any destination on the web – a landing page, a YouTube video, a Tweet, or something else that the Bloc owner feels will benefit them.

Shimron Equiano, founder and CEO, commented, “BlocSquared is the disruptive, promotional platform that side-hustlers and solopreneurs have been waiting for. Whether you have an early-stage idea, a product or service, or are a more established UK SME looking for a new way to advertise, BlocSquared as a concept just makes sense. As an entrepreneur myself, I want to encourage other entrepreneurs and business leaders to connect with new audiences and collaborators, with a more cost-effective marketing, advertising & business-centric platform that offers an alternative to the social media giants that have become over saturated spaces – BlocSquared is it.”

For every Bloc owned or sold, a fixed percentage of the purchase fee will be automatically donated to one the 17 Sustainable Development Global Goals (or SDGs), as adopted by all United Nations Member States, to include Zero Hunger, Gender Equality and Clean Water.

About BlocSquared

Described as “Million Dollar Home Page, meets Stumbleupon” by angel investor Ezechi Britton, BlocSquared is a new marketing and advertising platform offering ‘digital real estate’, giving side-hustlers a new place to call home and established businesses a valuable tool in their marketing armoury. Founded in 2021 by Shimron Equiano, BlocSquared aims to provide 1% of the UK’s SME community with a digital advertising and collaborative marketing experience unrivalled by anything else on the market.

BlocSquared launches with 55,000 Blocs for sale in the UK, against a backdrop of over 5 million UK businesses, supported by an Advisory Board addressing commercial, strategy, finance, legal, development, design and marketing.
