Great British Expo Raises £53,500 for Charity in 2024!

As we approach the end of 2024, charities across Great Britain have received a total of £53,500 in donations from Great British Expos. These contributions will help fund end-of-life hospice care, first response services, youth programs, and create pathways to meaningful employment for individuals living with disabilities.

Great British Expos are not just commercial events; they also provide opportunities to give back to the community. Through their regional events, they make substantial economic contributions to both businesses and charitable organizations. Their commitment is reflected in active investment in communities and a charitable giving program that supports numerous local charities across the UK, as well as a national charity each year.

This year, the events organized by Great British Expos have benefited several charities, including Cherishers, Thames Hospice, Swindon 105.5 FM, Thames Air Ambulance, the Fatima Whitebread MBE Campaign, and Helping Harry Help Others.

Julie Edensor, CEO of Cherishers, expressed her gratitude: “We are incredibly grateful that Great British Expos organized such fantastic events to help us fund our vital support for the vulnerable members of our community. All the money raised will help us improve our facilities and provide more support for the homeless, disabled, and elderly.”

The GBExpo team with Fatima WhitbreadThe core ethos of Great British Expos is giving back. They ensure that their events focus not only on business but also on fostering a sense of community. Since 2012, Great British Expos has donated £500,000 to over 100 charities and good causes throughout the UK.

Alec Jones-Hall, Director of Great British Expos, stated, “As a business, we believe we have a social responsibility to make a positive impact in the regions where we hold our events. It gives us great pleasure to make annual donations to charitable causes throughout the year. Our Charitable CSR program is supported by our sponsors, Filestream, and without their generosity, we wouldn’t be able to support such worthwhile causes as this year’s recipients.”

Paul Day, the Director of Filestream, stated, “Filestream has been a proud sponsor of the Great British Expo for Paul Day, the Director of Filestream and the team from GBExpo's two years. By offering our support, we not only help businesses network and grow across the UK, but we also have the opportunity to support their charity, Cherishers, and other remarkable charitable causes.”
