Quadient announces new Sage 50 integration to slash invoice processing costs by 86%

Quadient (Euronext Paris: QDT), a global automation platform powering secure and sustainable business connections, has announced a new integration with Sage 50 for its Accounts Payable (AP) solution. The partnership will make Quadient’s market-leading AP solution widely available to the 500,000 small and medium size businesses in the UK and Ireland that already benefit from Sage 50. These users will have the opportunity to manage their financial operations more efficiently, so they can focus on the unique challenges of running an SMB.

The integration will enable Sage 50 customers to seamlessly synchronise their invoice data, eliminating the need for manual data importing and exporting. Teams can therefore reduce excessive time on tasks like manually coding invoices, investigating discrepancies, and managing delayed approvals.

Key benefits of the integration include:

  • A reduction in invoice processing costs by 86%
  • An 83% reduction in data entry through AI-powered header and line-item data capture
  • The ability to process invoices up to 9 times faster
  • The ability to manage purchase orders, invoices, and expenses in one central system

Thanks to its advanced automatic data synchronisation, Quadient AP completely removes the need for manual file transfers. In addition, 2- and 3-way matching automatically cross-checks invoices with purchase orders and confirmation of delivery, ensuring pricing and quantity accuracy. Invoices are now automatically captured and routed for approval to the appropriate person. Manual follow-ups can also be automated, saving time and allowing staff to focus on higher-value tasks.

“At Sage, our goal is to empower finance teams and unlock their full potential. A key part of this is enabling them to automate and simplify their AP workflows processes, making our partnership with Quadient a natural fit,” said Karim Hassam, Partner Experience and Relationship Director at Sage. “We’re excited to build on our successful relationship with Quadient and continue working together to help finance teams excel and reach new levels of efficiency.”

The Quadient AP and Sage 50 integration is seamless, providing a two-way sync that ensures invoices are coded accurately and automatically, keeping all systems fully up-to-date. It captures invoice details—both header and line items—and uses Machine Learning to streamline the coding process. The more teams use the solution, the smarter it becomes, requiring less manual input over time and reducing the number of clicks needed to process invoices.

“We wanted something really easy and straightforward that wouldn’t be too time-consuming for our staff,” said Angela Thomas, Deputy Finance Director at Liverpool Guild of Students. “The integration has freed up time, reducing the need to chase AP approvals, allowing us to focus on additional tech developments we couldn’t have pursued otherwise.”

“Our ongoing partnership with Sage means our customers can transform the way the invoice process is managed in a user-friendly fashion,” said Joey Glazer, Director of Sales at Quadient. “With this latest integration, we empower finance leaders and their teams to spend more time on strategic work, advancing digitisation and enhancing both customer and employee experiences. As we expand our capabilities, this partnership allows us to further accelerate our growth and deliver on our commitment to leading the digital finance landscape. We are excited about what the future holds as we reach new markets and drive deeper collaboration with our customers and partners.”
