New Accountancy Practice Helps SMEs Turn Financial Clarity into Business Growth

MW Finman Ltd, a new accountancy practice, has launched in South West London to support owner-managed businesses with accounting, tax, cash flow and commercial advice.

Founded by South West London business owner Mike Wong, the firm has been created for small and growing businesses that want clearer numbers, stronger systems and better commercial insight.

MW Finman will work with businesses across London, with a particular focus on trades, property and service-based businesses.

The practice has been built around a common issue faced by many SMEs: the business is busy, sales are coming in, but the owner does not always have a clear view of where profit is made or what should be driving their decisions.

Mike brings more than 20 years’ experience across banking, property, SME operations and business ownership. Founded by South West London business owner Mike Wong, He began his career at RBS/NatWest in the Financial Institutions Group, before moving into property management, development and operational turnaround.

His experience includes working directly with trades and property businesses, including on-site projects, refurbishments, building works and operational systems. That practical background has shaped MW Finman’s approach: understanding not just the numbers, but how the business actually runs day to day.

The launch follows Mike’s exit from a block management portfolio in 2025, after a period of restructuring, systems improvement and operational turnaround. That experience reinforced the importance of clear financial information, proper systems and practical commercial control in owner-managed businesses.

MW Finman will provide accounting, tax and advisory services, including management reporting, cash flow support, Xero-based systems, pricing reviews, cost control and practical support for better commercial decisions.

“The accounts tell you what happened,” Mike said. “But business owners also need to understand what is happening now. Owners need to know their numbers before someone else does — whether that is the bank, HMRC, a supplier, a potential buyer, or simply the market.”

“More work does not automatically mean more profit,” Mike added. “In trades and service businesses, profit can disappear through poor pricing, weak job tracking, wasted time, unclear costs and systems that have not kept up with growth. MW Finman helps business owners get control of the numbers and the structure behind them, so they can build stronger businesses.”

MW Finman Ltd is based in South West London and works with small and owner-managed businesses across London.
