Paris not to be missed!: a City Guide to discover Paris differently this summer

VistaPrint, the print and design partner to millions of small businesses around the world, have recently partnered with Paris Commerces,  a company from the city of Paris, which acts on a daily basis in favour of local commerce, to launch the ultimate Paris City Guide to Small Business ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

With 11.3 million visitors expected to go to Paris during the Olympics this summer, this local guide allows tourists to choose between three unique routes which meander through Paris’ iconic cobblestone streets, enticing explorers to visit an assortment of small delicatessens, bookstores, fashion and artisans along the way.

The main goal of this initiative is to support and give visibility to small local businesses around the city, by providing them with a channel to differentiate themselves and stay out from the crowd.

The City Guide is available free of charge (while quantities last) at the Paris Tourism Office at Spot24, 101 quai Jacques Chirac 75015 Paris, as well as at partner retailers and online here.

Before, during and after the sports competitions, set off to explore Paris…

Paris Commerces and VistaPrint have created 3 off-the-beaten track routes, including 24 local small businesses, that will allow you to explore the city in a different way and to live the city like a real Parisian!

As true gem-spotters, the City Guide “Paris not to be missed!”  offers to meet Parisian traders and artisans in the 3rd, 10th and 11th arrondissements, with:

  • The Beaubourg – Temple route, located at the top of the Marais, this district is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and calmest in Paris.
  • The Lancry – Château d’Eau route which begins at the foot of the emblematic Place de la République and goes up along the Canal St Martin: an unmissable place to stroll in Paris.
  • The Folie Méricourt route: a neighborhood known for its friendly atmosphere and its eclectic mix of cultures which offers a vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Small delicatessens, bookstores, fashion or decoration boutiques, unmissable activities. Each route takes you to the heart of exciting neighborhoods and invites you to know the small businesses that make them so unique.

Sabine Léveiller, VP Marketing Europe at VistaPrint, said: “Small businesses play a vital part within their communities. They contribute to job creation, support local suppliers and producers, and add diversity to the retail landscape.  In line with VistaPrint’s mission of making small feel big, we are very proud to partner with Paris Commerces to support the small entrepreneurs in the Paris area, to give them the visibility they deserve and to help them accelerate their growth”.

Emmanuelle Hoss, General Director of Paris Commerces, said: “Paris Commerces supports and develops local commerce and local crafts in all districts of the Capital. These businesses, essential to Parisians, contribute to the quality of life, attractiveness and social ties of our neighbourhoods. We are happy to be able to offer them, in partnership with VistaPrint, this unique initiative, at the very moment where Paris will celebrate by hosting the most emblematic sporting event! An intense moment expected by everyone and which, we hope, will also be a boon for all our merchants proximity “.
