COVID-19 visitor guidance: Advanced tickets only

Since lockdown ended we have improved safety measures to ensure your visit is a safe and enjoyable one. It has been a major undertaking to prepare the Park for this. For example, the booking system we have used for years simply wasn’t designed for these extraordinary times, so we have installed new software which allows us to restrict visitor numbers via pre-bookings. We have reviewed all our public areas and introduced some measures to keep our staff and visitors safe. Please note: these are in addition to our previous announcement on the website which you can find here.

  1. Although Cotswold Wildlife Park is set in 160 acres of parkland with plenty of open space, it is still vital that visitors adhere to the Government guidelines which are as follows: meet outdoors in groups of up to 6 people (who you do not live with) whilst keeping at least 2 metres apart at all times.Face coverings must be worn in indoor areas, including the toilets, Reptile House, Insect House and Gift Shop. Please bring your own face covering with you.For more information, including exemptions, please visit the Government’s guidance on wearing face coverings here.
  2. Capacity and booking tickets: We now have a pre-booked ticketing system, to limit the number of visitors each day, to allow for social distancing. All tickets MUST be booked online the day before your visit. Click here to buy your E-tickets. There is a maximum capacity of tickets available each day. We are unable to release tickets any further in advance at this stage. We appreciate your understanding of these new, and hopefully temporary, changes. Please bear with us as we adapt.
    • Season ticket holders have been accounted for and there is no need to pre-book.
    • Gate tickets are only available if tickets have not all been sold out via the pre-booking system.
    • Bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to another date.
    • Please always check our website and social media for ANY updates.
  3. Restrictions:
    • The Restaurant is closed but our kiosks are open for snacks and drinks.
    • The Tropical House, ‘Madagascar’, Bat House, Little Africa, Giraffe House and the Goat petting area in the Children’s Farmyard remain closed to visitors. The Park reserves the right to review which attractions will be accessible to the public.
    • The Adventure Playground, ‘Skymaze’ and train are closed.
    • Daily Keeper talks have been cancelled, to avoid people gathering in one area.
  4. Opening times: PLEASE NOTE: OUR PEAK ARRIVAL TIME IS BETWEEN 10.00 am AND 11.00 am. We are open every day* until 6.00 pm (last admission at 4.00 pm). If the weather is good, please be aware that the Park will be busier than usual. *Except Christmas Day.
  5. We have installed additional hand washing/hand sanitising stations and toilets around the Park. Toilets are regularly cleaned throughout the day.
  6. We have introduced a one-way system for the Lake walk-through and Reptile House. This is clearly signed.
  7. Keeper Experiences: For the time being, Junior and Trainee Keeper Experiences have been cancelled. Keeper for a Day Experiences will continue, with some minor changes to the itinerary. With regard to Keeper Experiences, you should have already received an email regarding this. If you haven’t, please email leanne@cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk Thank you for your patience and understanding.
  8. Animal Encounters: for the time being we are unable to offer our Lemur Encounter. For more information on all our other Animal Encounters, please visit our “Get Involved” Animal Encounters page.
  9. Daily Keeper talks have been cancelled, to prevent people gathering in large groups in one area.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Dogs are allowed in the Park, provided that they are kept on a lead and under adult control at all times.
  • The Gift Shop is open daily between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. To minimise cash handling, we will only be accepting card and contactless payment in the Gift Shop and kiosks.

As with all public attractions, we rely on people observing social distancing rules and respecting one another’s space. Current Government advice on social spacing must be followed during your visit.

If you are feeling vulnerable, or at all worried about visiting at this time, please visit at a later date when restrictions have eased.

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, do not visit the Park.

Your patience and understanding throughout this ever-evolving situation is appreciated. Circumstances may change and the Park reserves the right to adjust these conditions at short notice.
