TeamDoctor has been awarded one of the highest Orcha ratings in the UK at 82%

Orcha is the world’s leading health app evaluation and advisor organisation. They help NHS Trusts, Governments and health and social care organisations to choose and deliver health apps that will safely make the biggest impact in terms of improving outcomes.

Chief Executive Liz Ashall-Payne says the organisation has reviewed nearly 5,000 apps so far and found many poor examples, including:

  • A diabetes management app offering complex medical support without any back-up from experts
  • A physiotherapy app offering exercise plans without any visible input from professionals
  • An app to help smokers quit, which had not had security updates in more than two years

80% of Health Apps don’t pass the Orcha review standards.

TeamDoctor is a collaboration between Team-i, a highly successful Teamwork and Leadership development organisation, and The Sound Doctor, the UK’s leading source of health education for patients using films, animations, interactive e-learning programmes and podcasts.

The team behind TeamDoctor has considerable high level management experience, members having delivered major change programmes, achieved revenues of over £100 million over a five year period, and sold companies worth several million pounds. It also consists of award winning former BBC journalists producing world class content which is very well evaluated, widely endorsed by leading NHS healthcare professionals, and has very high satisfaction ratings from users.

TeamDoctor has nationally accredited courses and a substantial film library of 3-5 minute films to help keep you well at work. Their ‘Looking after your mental health at work’ course carries three CPD points (Continuing Professional Development – used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities). It is film based, interactive, consists of four half-hour modules, and can be done at a time and pace to suit the individual user.

Here are just some of the subjects covered in their Keeping Well at Work library:
Stress, anxiety, depression, workplace relationships, management culture, sleep problems, workplace environment, how to get the best diet when you’re at work, and building more exercise into your working day.
