Document Management Company Celebrating Award Success For Third Consecutive Year

Innovative tech company, Filestream, is celebrating award success for the third year in a row as it bagged another win at the prestigious Document Manager Awards.

The Berkshire-based firm won the Low Code/No Code award for its product, Filestream 5, the latest iteration of its document-management software system.

It’s the third time Filestream have seen success at the awards, having been named as runner-up last year for the same award and taking home the win in 2021.

The Filestream team celebrated their win at a black-tie event at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London earlier this month.

Paul Day, Filestream’s technical director, says they were thrilled to win. “It’s a real honour to be taking home this award again for Filestream 5,” said Paul. “The whole team have worked incredibly hard to make what we believe to be the best software of its kind on the market, so to achieve this kind of recognition again really is the icing on the cake. We’re ever so grateful to the Document Manager Awards for the honour.”

The Document Manager Awards celebrate exceptional achievement and innovation in the content management industry. They reward the very best technology solutions in the space and are an annual fixture in the industry’s calendar.

The product that secured Filestream’s award-win is Filestream 5, a Cloud-based system that enables businesses of all sizes to effectively manage all their documentation in the most efficient and secure way possible, saving both time and money and enabling paper-free working.

Paul says it’s even more of an honour to win this year because competitors have been hot on their heels since they first took the award in 2021. “Since we won a couple of years ago, other players in the market have done a great deal of work to upgrade their own products and innovate on particular elements of their offering,” says Paul. “We’re mindful that we now have significant competition and we’re not complacent about that. It can actually only be a good thing for the industry as it ensures we’re all constantly improving and innovating to get the best possible solutions for our clients.”

Filestream has evolved significantly since it was established as one department of an office equipment company in 2003. With the ever-increasing success of their software year on year, the office equipment side of the business was sold in 2008 and Filestream have been solely focused on software ever since.

They moved to their own premises on the Wellington Business Park in Crowthorne last year and are continuing to grow and innovate. Filestream supports businesses of all sizes, from smaller companies to SMEs and larger international firms including worldwide cruise companies,  Scania and logistics giant, Culina Group.

“What many of our clients have in common is the need to securely access documentation on the road or in numerous locations,” said Paul. “Filestream 5 means they can do this easily yet securely and without staff having to physically take documentation with them when they travel. It massively improves their efficiency and workflow and, most importantly, means they can be confident their data is safe and secure.”

Cyber crime has been named by the National Crime Agency as a significant threat to UK national security and particularly to businesses. The National Cyber Security Centre says that effective cyber security should be considered an essential and critical part of the UK’s central infrastructure and estimates that this rapidly growing area of crime costs UK business £27 billion a year.

Paul Day says the combination of helping to keep businesses safe while also supporting their efficiency so they can thrive and grow is the most satisfying aspect of the business.

“We love that we provide businesses of all sizes with a solution that’s so advanced, so user-friendly and also so secure. It’s a very exciting time both in the industry and for us as a company and we’re incredibly proud to have won this latest award in recognition for all our hard work so far. Here’s to the next 12 months and beyond!”
