Lem-uhn becomes the first PR agency in the UK to launch a Work From Anywhere scheme

UK-based PR agency Lem-uhn announces its Work From Anywhere scheme becoming the first PR agency in the UK to announce a scheme.

The feel-good PR agency’s policy allows employees to work outside the United Kingdom for 45 days per year. Employees are permitted to work in any country where the United Kingdom has a double taxation agreement.

The appetite for working abroad has shot up in recent months as many companies have cut back remote-working freedoms. Searches for ‘work from anywhere’ peaked at the highest in the past five years in August 2023 with a 669% increase compared to the same period in July 2023. The spike occurred in the week from 6th – 12th August. During this period, Zoom announced it would be requiring its employees to return to the office.

Founder and Managing Director of Lem-uhn, Riannon Palmer commented, “Employee happiness is not a priority for PR agencies. At Lem-uhn we’re changing this. We believe happier employees deliver the best results for our clients. The introduction of our Work From Anywhere scheme is the latest step we’ve taken to create a happier type of agency. Creativity is a key skill in public relations. A happier mind, adventure and experiencing cultures provide the perfect opportunity to feed our employee’s creativity. I look forward to the day when schemes that create a positive work environment for employees are the norm.”

The Work From Anywhere scheme joins Lem-uhn’s other well-being initiatives. In 2022, Lem-uhn introduced a Menstrual Policy which entitles employees to paid leave for menstruation, menopause and miscarriage, in addition to the firm’s existing sick leave entitlements. Lem-uhn employees accrue an additional 10 days of paid personal leave per year for menstruation, menopause discomfort or in the event of a miscarriage. Lem-uhn also offers employees two Wellness Days annually which allow employees to take a day off with only one day’s notice. The Wellness Days support employees to prioritise their mental health.

Lem-uhn is currently hiring. Prospective candidates can view available positions and apply here. If there is not an opening for a relevant position, Lem-uhn encourages public relations professionals to share their CVs in order for the team to contact them when a suitable position opens up.
