multifi Declares War on Personal Guarantees: SME Lending Without the Shackles

Fintech rebel shatters lending norms on first anniversary, offering up to £350,000 unsecured credit without personal guarantees.

Multifi is marking its first anniversary by declaring an all-out war on personal guarantees. The fintech maverick is breaking free from the constraints of traditional lending, offering SMEs up to £350,000 in unsecured credit without demanding personal guarantees from business owners.

“For too long, SMEs have been held hostage by archaic lending practices that put their assets on the line,” says Rob Keown-Boyd, CEO of multifi. “No more personal guarantees, no more risking your home to grow your business. multifi is setting SMEs free.”

Instead, multifi provides customers with a basic Current Account through which they are required to route all Rob Keown-Boyd, CEO of multifirevenue, such as direct payments from their customers and client invoices. 100% of funds are available instantly, 24/7. By channelling revenues through this account, we efficiently collect fees, interest, and capital as they become due.

“Yes, there are other ‘no personal guarantee’ options out there, but they often come with a catch – high costs, rigid repayment structures, or limited amounts,” says Rob Keown-Boyd, CEO of multifi. “We’re not just removing personal guarantees; we’re offering a better deal for SMEs. No more choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.“

multifi’s groundbreaking approach offers:

  • Truly Flexible Credit: Unlike merchant cash advances that take a fixed percentage of daily sales, multifi’s credit flexes with your business needs. Use what you need when you need it.
  • Transparent, Competitive Costs: Say goodbye to hidden fees and opaque pricing. multifi’s clear fee structure often results in significantly lower costs and zero surprises at the end of the application.
  • Generous Limits: Up to £350,000 unsecured credit, doubling our original offering of £150,000
  • Fair Repayment Terms: With up to 120 days to repay, businesses have breathing room to manage cashflow.
  • Integrated Financial Services: Beyond just lending, multifi offers a suite of services, including an intelligent current account and payment processing, providing a holistic financial solution.

In its revolutionary first year, multifi has:

  • Increased credit lines to 15% of annual turnover, up from the 2% average at launch.
  • Slashed minimum trading history requirements to one year, championing younger businesses
  • Eliminated cumbersome paperwork, streamlining the application process
  • Introduced automated repayments, simplifying financial management for busy entrepreneurs
  • Garnered industry-wide recognition, scooping four prestigious awards:
    • Best Emerging Business Finance Provider (SME News – UK Enterprise Awards)
    • UK Enterprise Excellence Award for Business Growth Support (SME News – UK Enterprise Awards)
    • Alternative Lending Provider of the Year (Credit and Collections Industry Awards 2024)
    • London Chamber of Commerce Gold Winner (SME Business Awards 2024)

Looking ahead, multifi is poised for further expansion into integrated services for UK SMEs.
