Allergy Awareness Advocate Julianne Ponan MBE To Address Gousto

Award-winning entrepreneur and allergy awareness advocate Julianne Ponan MBE will be a keynote speaker to educate, inform and inspire the team at one of the UK’s leading recipe box companies Gousto.

As the CEO of Creative Nature, a pioneering free-from food brand, Julianne will share her personal journey with life-threatening allergies, the daily anxieties faced by individuals with severe allergies, and the importance of increased awareness and inclusivity in the food industry.

Julianne said, “I’m incredibly excited to speak at Gousto’s Allergy Awareness Week event. Raising awareness about the realities of living with allergies is crucial, especially in the food sector. Every day, millions of people deal with the anxiety of eating out, unsure whether their food is truly safe. It’s fantastic to see a brand like Gousto engaging in this conversation and striving to create a more inclusive and understanding environment.”

Gousto is a UK & Ireland based recipe box company that delivers fresh ingredients and easy-to-follow recipes straight to your door. With 200 meals to choose from each week, including vegetarian, plant-based, and gluten-free options, Gousto makes home cooking simple, tasty, and convenient. The company caters to a wide range of dietary requirements and is committed to reducing food waste and sourcing high-quality, sustainable ingredients.

Julianne, who founded Creative Nature in response to the lack of safe, allergen-free food options on the market, has been a vocal advocate for allergy awareness and inclusivity. At the Gousto event taking place in London on Wednesday April 23 she will highlight the challenges individuals with allergies face daily, including the risks involved in dining out and navigating food choices, as well as the impact of allergies on mental health.

“At Gousto we are committed to having a positive impact on people and the planet, that’s why allergy management is more than just a policy, it’s a commitment to the safety & well-being of our customers and colleagues,” said Caroline Dennis who is the Head of Food Technical at Gousto.

“As we grow and reach more households, we recognise that transparency and proactive allergen management aren’t just responsibilities, they’re an essential part of building customer confidence and trust in our Brand. That’s why we’re celebrating and embedding allergy awareness across the business.

Julianne’s experience, expertise and advocacy really bring to life the challenges allergy sufferers as well as businesses face and the importance of building a culture rooted in awareness and accountability to ultimately deliver food you can trust!”
