International speaker and bestselling author Stefan Thomas, based in Oxfordshire, will return to the Best Businesswomen Awards in 2025. Having sponsored the Best Networking Group category in 2024, this year he continues as sponsor and joins the judging panel for the first time.
Stefan, who has authored three books on business networking, including Business Networking for Dummies, is well known for helping entrepreneurs and business professionals build confidence in making meaningful connections that lead to genuine opportunities.
This marks his second year supporting the awards. In 2025, he has also been invited to judge, a role he has embraced with enthusiasm.
“I’ve never judged awards before and was genuinely flattered to be asked,” said Stefan. “What makes the Best Businesswomen Awards stand out is the thoroughness of the judging process. Finalists have worked incredibly hard to reach this stage, and the quality of entries is impressive.
“It was important to me to judge a category where I had no prior connections, so the decision-making could be completely objective.”
Stefan’s involvement comes as the awards continue to build their reputation for independence and credibility. Founded by Debbie Gilbert, the programme celebrates entrepreneurial women across the UK from all sectors and backgrounds.
“Stefan is a fantastic supporter of women in business and a genuine advocate for effective, meaningful networking,” said Debbie. “We’re thrilled to have him on board as a judge this year.”
Finalists become part of a supportive community beyond the event, gaining access to the Winners Club networking, podcast features, and ongoing promotion from the organisers. Every finalist receives a Silver or Gold award, so no one leaves empty-handed.
This year’s finalists have been announced and will attend the Gala Awards Night on Friday 10th October 2025 at the Daventry Court Hotel, where the winners will be revealed.
Stefan is the author of Business Networking for Dummies, Instant Networking and Win the Room. Known for his practical, no-nonsense advice and relatable style, he has delivered talks and workshops for organisations such as BT, Lloyds Bank and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Through his speaking, books and workshops, Stefan has helped thousands of professionals become more confident in turning conversations into meaningful business opportunities.
