Go Eo Unveils Free Employee Engagement Survey To Empower Small Businesses And Enhance Workplaces

Go Eo Unveils Free Employee Engagement Survey

Posted By Greg Robinson on October 2, 2024 News

Entrepreneur Chris Maslin, founder of Go EO, has launched the Go EO Staff Survey – a completely free employee engagement tool designed to help small businesses gain valuable insights into their workplace dynamics.

Chris Maslin, a seasoned entrepreneur based in Kent is known for building successful service-based businesses, Chris Maslin, founder of Go EOstarted his own accountancy firm, Maslins, in 2009. After transitioning Maslins to an employee ownership trust in 2021, Chris found the process so rewarding that he established Go EO to assist other business owners in making similar transitions at a more affordable cost.

The idea for the Go EO Staff Survey emerged from Chris’s own attempts to conduct internal staff surveys at Maslins, which were largely DIY efforts.

“Keen to improve and scale these surveys, I approached Dan Wardle of Surveylab,” said Chris. “Our shared interests and goals made this project an idea we both wanted to support.”

Dan Wardle founded Surveylab in 2003, and the UK-based agency has since become a trusted partner for both global brands and local non-profits, specialising in online surveys for customer feedback and employee engagement.

“At Surveylab, we take pride in creating bespoke survey solutions tailored to each client’s needs. However, the Go EO Staff Survey is a unique offering designed specifically for smaller organisations,” said Dan.

“It’s straightforward, effective, and based on years of experience in understanding what drives employee engagement.”

The Go EO Staff Survey has already undergone a soft launch and is based on Surveylab’s employee survey framework, which has been refined over many years.

This collaboration between Go EO and Surveylab has resulted in a tool that is both user-friendly and insightful, tailored specifically to the needs of small businesses.

“We wanted to create something that would fill the gap between costly bespoke surveys and the time-consuming process of developing one in-house,” explained Chris. “With the technical expertise of Surveylab, we’ve made employee feedback more accessible than ever for small businesses.

“Small businesses often struggle with finding affordable, effective ways to understand their employees’ perspectives. This survey fills that gap, offering a quick and easy way to assess employee sentiment without the need for costly consultants or in-house development.”

The Go EO Staff Survey is particularly well-suited for companies with 10-100 employees. It provides an accessible way for businesses to gauge how their employees feel about key aspects such as company purpose, leadership, teamwork, and customer focus. The anonymous feedback can help confirm or challenge existing perceptions, serving as a foundation for further improvement.

For smaller teams, the survey can initiate important conversations about the company’s direction and the alignment of roles. Larger organisations may still benefit from the survey, though they might need more tailored solutions for in-depth analysis.
