There’s something electric about being in a room full of women in business who just get it. The ones who’ve built empires from their kitchen tables.
Who’ve sent invoices with shaky hands.
Who’ve cried happy tears after their first sale… and real ones when things fell apart.
That’s the energy behind The Solopreneur Awards – the first national awards night devoted entirely to female-led solopreneurs. And this year’s theme? The Audacity Era.
Because that’s exactly what it takes to build a business on your own terms. Audacity. Grit. Vision. And a little bit of delusional magic.
This is a movement, not just an awards night
On December 6th, The Waldorf Hotel will come alive with hundreds of ambitious, creative, unstoppable women -from brand-new founders to seasoned CEOs. But this night isn’t just about trophies or sparkle.
It’s about recognition. It’s about representation.
And it’s about reminding women that they’re not alone in the hustle, the doubt, or the dream.
For one night, the walls drop. Everyone in the room understands what it means to be all of it — the strategist, the marketer, the accountant, the parent, the visionary.
It’s laughter, it’s connection, and it’s that rare moment of exhale where you look around and think, “Ah… these are my people.”
The Audacity Era
So what does The Audacity Era actually mean?
Well, it’s about saying yes to yourself before anyone else does. It’s taking up space, unapologetically. It’s choosing visibility in a world that still expects women to play small.
It’s about the women who’ve had the audacity to launch something new in a crowded market, to rebuild when lifeshifted beneath them, and to keep leading with heart – even when nobody was watching.
That’s the spirit of this year’s awards: the courage to back yourself, to show up boldly, and to remind the world that audacious women aren’t rare – they’re just rising… finally.
From Isolation to Inspiration: The Story Behind the Awards
When Nikki Pope started her business, there wasn’t a room like this to walk into.
“I remember how lonely it felt,” she shares. “I was trying to build something I believed in, but I
didn’t have the support I needed at home. It was just me, figuring it all out as I went, fighting through the noise, wondering if I could really do this.”
In those early days, it was women online that she’d never even met who became her loudest cheerleaders. “They celebrated my wins. They reminded me to dream bigger. They saw something in me before I fully saw it myself.”
That sisterhood – that real, raw connection – was the seed that grew into ‘The Solopreneur Awards’.
Coming from a background in performance, Nikki was no stranger to the spotlight. But after years on stage, sherealised her true purpose wasn’t just to be in the spotlight – it was to create it for others.
“I wanted to celebrate the women who are quietly changing the world – the solopreneurs building impact and legacywithout anyone clapping in the wings,” she says. “The Solopreneur Awards is where entertainment and entrepreneurship collide because it’s all about storytelling, emotion, and empowerment.
That blend of celebration and sincerity has become the signature of the event. It’s glitzy and glamorous, yes – butit’s also deeply human. Every moment is designed to make women feel seen, valued, and absolutely unstoppable”.
Why this event matters
Women are launching businesses faster than ever before – but they’re also leaving self-employment in record numbers too. Because it’s hard, isolating, and because visibility, funding, and support still don’t come as easily as they should.
That’s why nights like this matter. Because when women see other women winning, something just automatically shifts. Possibility feels closer. Confidence rises. Audacity to do the things that others wouldn’t spreads like wildfire…and that ripple effect, well, that’s legacy.
For Every Woman Who’s Ever Wondered, “Can I Do This?”
The answer is always YES. And if you need proof, come and feel the energy in that room.
Because when you walk through the doors of The Waldorf on December 6th, you’re not just attending an event, you’re stepping into your next chapter.
You’ll meet women who will change the way you see yourself. You’ll feel inspired, celebrated, and connected. And you’ll leave knowing that 2026 will be the year your courage writes a new story.
