Cascade Productions secures a place on Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2024

Cascade Productions, the thriving brand experience agency based in Manchester, has been awarded a spot on the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2024.

The Sunday Times’ Best Place to Work list ranks companies based on a number of factors such as employee satisfaction, workplace culture, benefits, leadership and growth opportunities.

Cascade Productions, based in Wythenshawe, provides attendee-first event management services. Collectively, the team has over 25 years of experience working in the entertainment industry – experience they leverage into crafting engaging experiences for clients and attendees.

With a distinct focus on prioritising visitor experience, they develop authentic and immersive events for clients of all sizes and from a wide range of industries and sectors. Clients the team has created events for include Iceland, Chester Zoo, Ineos Grenadiers, DWF and the National Trust.

The company has recently undergone a full re-brand following year-on-year success and some incredible client wins. 2024 is on track to be the most successful year to date.

Cascade secured a spot in the Sunday Times list’s small business category. The citation on the list highlights several reasons why the company received the nod.

Highlights

Regularly surveys their team throughout the year and provides anonymous feedback forms for employees. One-to-ones are also a fixture, allowing employees to highlight individual challenges that can be addressed swiftly and effectively.

A relaxed approach to working hours allows employees flexibility, giving them the time they need to work around day-to-day needs. This can include everything from childcare needs to doctor’s appointments and more.

Reducing workload when employees need support is a fundamental part of their mental health and well-being policy.

Checking emails outside office hours is actively discouraged. The company employs a ‘switch-off” policy to make sure that employees do not feel pressured to send or respond to emails during their evenings, weekends or annual leave.

An open-door policy is in place across the management team. All team members and employees are encouraged to approach management at any time, whether to discuss challenges and roadblocks or just to socialise.

Private health coverage is provided at all levels to make sure that everyone in the team has access to great care options.

43 days’ holiday is the minimum allowance. Aware that unlimited holiday policies can lead to employees taking fewer days off, the company provides 43 days off as standard.

Speaking on the win and what it means for the company, Jo Madeley, Managing Director at Cascade Productions, said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have been featured on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list. It’s a testament to the culture of our business and the fantastic team that makes our business truly unique.

“A business has to be more than just work. We want to create a place where people can be happy and thrive, especially in an industry that can be quite fast-paced. Ultimately we love what we do and we care about our people.”
