Dominique Antiglio is a globally sought-after Sophrologist, best-selling author, and founder of BeSophro. Through BeSophro’s corporate offering, they can help build resilient and agile teams that can adapt to change and drive innovation, and have worked with organisations including Google, Lululemon, ASICS and the UK Government.

In an era where workplace wellness and mental health is finally becoming a top priority, it’s surprising how often companies overlook simple, yet effective, tools like Sophrology. With burnout on the rise and employees juggling more demands than ever, organisations are searching for solutions to maintain productivity, prevent burn out and absenteeism, and educate teams on various strategies for performance. Sophrology, a well-established practice in European Countries, yet still emerging in the UK, offers a highly impactful answer, allowing new ways to connect and develop directly through the mind body connection. Combining relaxation, breathing, body awareness and visualisation exercises that can be done anywhere and anytime, Sophrology offers a stress-management and self-development solution so people can quickly learn to connect with themselves, reset and learn new ways to feel and interact with themselves and the world around them.

I was not always a Sophrologist. I started my career as an Osteopath, witnessing the pains, stress, burn out and worries of employees and leaders as they faced work pressures and challenges including long hours of concentration and few breaks. Such a rhythm is often difficult to sustain and requires a constant high level of adrenaline and focus. Over time it can be difficult to recuperate physically and mentally, unless you have the right tools for body and mind, to give you a strong enough connection with yourself, how you feel and what your individual needs are; as well as the motivation to implement it in your schedule.

Having successfully used Sophrology at 15 years old to address my own issues around stress and how it ended up affecting me physically and emotionally, plus 25 years working with individual clients, groups and corporates, I witnessed first-hand their relationship with stress, sleep and anxiety and used Sophrology to unlock their full potential At BeSophro, the UK’s leading Sophrology platform and corporate consultancy, myself and my team of Sophrologists specialise in making these tools available and tailor them to the specific needs of each company.

While wellness programs can feel like just another task, Sophrology offers a restorative experience without the burden of theory.

We notice that for many individuals in the workplace, following wellness programmes can be another task they need to tick in a day that’s already filled with pressing priorities. They don’t have the mind space to sit through long PowerPoint presentations around wellness, stress-management and how to enhance their leadership.

What they desperately need is a moment of recuperation, a safe space to learn to switch off and feel supported through an immersive experience. A moment where the usual codes of efficiency and fast-paced rhythm are loosened, where they can be guided to reconnect with a deeper wisdom, that is not accessible only through the mind, but only when mind and body are encouraged to become more in sync again.

The power of the Sophrology method is that you don’t need to be able to meditate or stay still for a period of time to feel the benefits. Each short session can be tailored towards a specific goal. From stress-management, reaching your goals, improving your sleep, building confidence towards your future, expanding your creativity, making better decisions, creating healthy boundaries or learning to recuperate faster – every session will gradually teach you a new skillset that can be reused anytime, anywhere.

Companies chase high-tech complexity to address burnout. Sophrology may offer a simpler way…

Work-related stress has become an increasing issue, and stress leads to burnout, which in turn leads to poor performance, absenteeism, and a disillusioned workforce. Yet, UK employers seem to be missing the mark on accessible and practical approaches like Sophrology, which is already widely used across Europe. The focus is always on the trendy, high-tech solutions when what’s really needed are lifelong tools that promote sustained mental clarity and balance, without the need for fancy equipment or a hefty price tag.

Sophrology offers precisely that. It’s a straightforward practice combining breathing, visualisation, and body awareness, all designed to help individuals manage their stress levels and increase focus. It’s the perfect fit for the modern workplace, where employees are often expected to shift gears rapidly between tasks, juggle meetings, and somehow remain productive amidst constant distractions.

The practice connects teams globally through online well-being breaks, offering tools to practice anywhere, anytime.

What makes Sophrology even more compelling is its accessibility. It doesn’t require a dedicated studio or hours of practice each day. It can easily be done online with international teams, often starting with a workshop and then weekly 25 min sessions over a few weeks so people get a chance to truly learn a new skill and transform.

At BeSophro, our corporate programs focus on three pillars with real-time and long-term tools:

Stress & Resilience

Resilience is about bouncing back from stress, uncertainty, and everyday challenges—skills we all need in today’s fast-changing work environment. Sophrology uniquely helps with this. We start the journey by understanding stress physiology, including its types and sources, allowing individuals to harness stress positively rather than viewing it solely as a negative force. In hybrid workspaces, managers learn to identify signs of distress and burnout both in-person and remotely.

Sophrology also allows us to work more specifically on techniques to overcome setbacks and shift negative thoughts to positive focus and adopt more flexible thinking. Instantly reconnecting with goals

and a sense of purpose, gives participants a direction during tough times. This combination builds long-lasting mental strength and clarity.

Conscious Leadership

Leaders who are self-aware, intentional, and empathetic can create trust and engagement, leading to a healthier and more productive work culture. Sophrology enhances this self-awareness by offering simple techniques to pause, regulate the nervous system, and release tension. This creates the mental space needed to manage emotions and respond mindfully rather than react impulsively to stress or triggers, fostering less toxic work cultures.

Performance

Sophrology is endorsed by top athletes and high-flying CEOs as a key tool for peak performance. Just as athletes rely on mental techniques to excel under pressure, we help employees sustain their focus, concentration, and energy – key ingredients for success and achievement. To this foundation, we add positivity, a core aspect of Sophrology. Research indicates that fostering a positive mental state can significantly boost productivity and overall performance in the workplace.

How and why clients find us

Clients typically approach BeSophro as part of their Talent Retention, Leadership or Wellbeing and Mental health support strategies. They choose BeSophro for a dynamic, experiential approach that offers “immediate stress relief,” as noted by one of our clients, seeking to offer corporate training on such topics as Burnout Prevention, Stress Reduction, Resilience, and Managing Uncertainty at work.
